Asleep On A Sunbeam

“Time is free, but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it you can never get it back.”

- Harvey MacKay

Hello friends. I now have 2 incredible night’s sleep under my belt and I can feel the biggest difference. I do feel as if I am a bit of a 100 year old recluse but until I can get my footing underneath me, 9/10pm is my new favorite bed time.

Rehearsals are still going great. We are already making changes but it is so awesome to be a part of telling this story. That is the beauty of rehearsals. Nothing is set in stone, and as the actors, director and choreographer make new discoveries, new doors open up to staging and blocking.

Training is going well too. After Tuesday’s rough go at it, I changed a little bit of my food up and have gotten a lot more sleep and have noticed a world of difference. I had a beautiful run along the Hudson on Wednesday and in Central Park last night. Both runs I felt strong and as rested as I could be. Today I am soaking up the fact that all I have is rehearsal and physical therapy and gearing up for my long run before rehearsal tomorrow morning. The 5am wake up call will be tough, but that gives me an easier Sunday and Monday for my body. Still seeing what works balance wise, so fingers crossed.

Not too much new in the apartment search yet. I have sent a few emails out but realize that most people think I am looking for September first, so I have had to just look to see what is out there. Going to go full force on Monday and see if there is a way for me to even go see a few. It is overwhelming, but also extremely exciting.

So that is what is going on. A whole lot. But I can say one thing with utmost confidence…when I get my sleep…my life is so much easier.

What are your weekend plans for the last hoorah of summer??
